Product Warranty Exclusions

Not covered

Improper Installation: Floor should be installed by a Licensed Professional. Recommended the installer follow the N.W.F.A and or N.O.F.M.A guidelines. Standard trade practice allows up to 5% of square footage to have milling defects and be below grade, will not be covered. Industries recommendation is to order 5% to 10% additional square footage than needed (waste factory) but not limited to. Will not cover any cost to install, remove or replace any flooring that has evident defect, nor any cost associated to, such as re-location of property owner or lost of income, but not limited to.

Improper Environment: It is recommended that the wood not be delivered and or installed on site until HVAC is on and uniform environmental conditions are achieved. The correct environment must be maintained thereafter. Refer to N.W.F.A guidelines. Proper acclimation is required. No warranty as a result of moisture such as cupping, warping, shrinkage, twisting, splitting, buckling or mold but not limited to or due to as a lack of proper acclimation as recommended.

Seasonal Change: Expansion and contraction of flooring occurs due to seasonal change, causing some movement in the floor. In summer months expansion may cause cupping and or crowning. In winter months contraction may occur causing some gapping, spacing, but not limited to.

Improper Maintance: Wet mopping, abrasive cleaners and but not limited to cleaners leaving residue. Dry mop with recommended wood floor cleaner should be used. Spills should be wiped up as soon possible. Keep loose dirt off floor, vacuum or sweep regularly. Check condition of vacuum and or other cleaning tools to be in good conditions, but not limited to.

Wear: Scratch, dents, stains, pets, spiked heels, wet-mopping, gloss or sheen loss due to regular use, insects, but not limited to or any damage due to abuse/negligence are not warranted. Recommended to place protective pads on furniture, entry door mats and keep loose dirt off the floor to prevent scratching.

Color Change: UV rays accelerate oxidation and natural aging or wood. Color change or fading can occur. Recommended to move furniture, rugs, and plants and have window treatments to help reduce change. Tones, shades and graining variations are a natural character of wood. Gloss reduction from wear may occur. Unfinished wood will also have a color difference depending on the product that is applied.

Grain & Tone variation:  Grains and tones will vary from board to board and inventory to inventory. Samples may also vary from actual flooring. The newer (fresher) the wood is also has an impact on its look. Wood is a natural product and the environment plays a strong factor in its finial look. This is not considered to be a defect.

Installation: Over radiant Heat or below ground level. Subfloor unlevel or inadequate. Installer is responsible to examine the wood and cut out the unacceptable boards. Industry standards allow up to 5% of natural defects and manufactured.

Acts of Nature:  Any damage resulting from acts of nature weather, such as storms. Power outage. Resulting in environmental changes, humidity and temperature. Not covered damage by fire or flood, but not limited to.

Accident or Intentional: No coverage from overflowed sinks, tubs, toilets, washing machines, broken ice makes, dishwasher, water hearers, Air conditioners, plumbing , flooding or similar.  Movers, delivery of appliance, furniture, sports equipment  but not limited to. Any type of intentional damage will not be covered.

Structural and 25 yr. Finish warranty

Residential: To the original purchaser, original proof of purchase required. No commercial warranty. Residential 25 yr. on finish under normal home use.  UV cured aluminum oxide finish. Lifetime on solid unfinished ¾” wood. Residential- To the original purchaser, to be free of defects in the structure and milling (not included standard allowance).Must be maintained under normal environmental conditions inside the home and proper maintenance given.

File: Proper claim must be filed, within allowed time frame. Original purchaser must contact installer or dealer/company prior to filling any claim.  No material unless fully paid will have any warranty.
