BRAZILIAN CHERRY ENGINEERED FLOORING:

Brazilian Cherry engineered flooring, also known as Jatoba. It is constructed in variety of widths and thickness, ranging from 2-1/4” to 7” wide x 3/8” to ½” thick. Engineered product are mainly milled for glue down installation but can also be stabled or nailed depend on the construction of the product. Engineered products are a good choice for a beginner. Tongue and groove milling makes for easier installation and proper fit of boards. Mainly comes prefinished but can come unfinished for custom staining at job site.

Brazilian Cherry is reddish brown with some dark/blackish stripping. This floor will darken over time when exposed to light and becoming richer. It is recommended to move area rugs and furniture from time to time to equally exposure all the wood. If those areas under carpets and furniture are lighter when items are removed, once exposed they will darken as well. Brazilian Cherry is two times harder then Oak. It is also very resistant to rot and termites.  It is a very popular choice in the U.S. due to its durability, unique graining and deep rich reddish –brown tones.  Readily Available.
